คณะกรรมการจัดงานเลี้ยงเกษียณอายุอธิการบดี จึงขอเชิญอาจารย์
และบุคลากรทุกท่านร่วมฝากข้อความแสดงความรักและความผูกพัน

ประทับใจในความใส่ใจและความไม่ถือตัวของท่านอธิการมากค่ะ อาจารย์ใหม่ตัวน้อยๆ อย่างหนูขี่จักรยานจะกลับบ้าน ท่านยังไม่ถือที่จะทักหนูก่อน ซึ่งทำให้มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งนี้ดูอบอุ่นและน่าอยู่มากๆ ค่ะ
นับเป็นความโชคดีที่ได้ทำงานที่มหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ
ได้พบเพื่อนร่วมงานที่ดี และมีผู้นำที่เสียสละ ใส่ใจลูกน้อง
เข้มแข็ง อ่อนโยน มีเมตตา แม้ถึงเวลาที่ท่านต้องพัก
แต่เชื่อมั่นว่าท่านจะยังคงเป็นกำลังใจให้พวกเราตลอดไป

ดิฉันได้มีโอกาสรับใช้อาจารย์ในงานต่างๆของมหาวิทยาลัย ในช่วงทำงาน 6ปีที่ผ่านมา มีความชื่นชมในความเอาใจใส่บุคลากร ความเป็นระเบียบ และสิ่งต่างๆที่ควรค่าแก่การเป็นแบบอย่างแก่บุคลากรของ ม.กรุงเทพ ขอให้อาจารย์มีความสุข ไร้ความทุกข์ สุขภาพร่างกายแข็งแรงค่ะ

Dear Dr. Mathana, I wish you a very well-deserved, enjoyable and inspiring retirement, although you are too young in heart and spirit to sit still for too long. It is more likely that your rich fulfilling working life will take you to other ventures where your professional and personal qualities will continue to find response and keep developing, while remaining closely connected to the university for your academic insights and expertise acquired throughout the many years of your professional life here.
When I signed my contract with BU in 1990, in the time that you were Vice President of Academic Affairs I observed that you were a most dedicated and hard working executive. I was not surprised that you would become the third president of Bangkok University and taking the university into new directions, such as a stronger international academic collaboration within ASEAN and starting bilingual study programs for Thai studens to prepare them for AEC, while also expanding the university’s study programs with entrepreneurship and innovation knowledge management, and much more. It takes indeed a dedicated hardwoking leader to bring change to an organization, and you have fulfilled that role with style and force.
My respect extends as well to your personal involvement in the Thai Women Watch that stands for equal rights and justice. It has been a great pleasure working under you, and I look back with gratitude to my own time here with Bangkok University.
